About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to provide leadership and direction in Health & Safety matters that complements the strategic direction, daily operational processes, budget and business direction of the company. As our Health & Safety Coordinator, you will work closely with the executive team and head of departments to achieve compliance with Work Health & Safety legislative requirements and regulations, identified key performance indicators (KPI'S), hazard/injury prevention and reporting, risk assessments, policy formation, statistical data analysis, staff education, training and innovation.

In this role you will:

  • Be the contact and coordinator for all Health and Safety (H&S) matters
  • Have H&S knowledge and expertise to aid the implementation of H&S policies
  • Participate in safety improvement teams and companywide safety improvement projects as required
  • Develop/maintain requirements for Tertiary level WSMP accreditation
  • Coordinate Health and Safety in compliance with ISO45001

The ideal applicant will have:

  • 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of statuary Legislation, Regulations, IANZ and ISO standard, and Codes of Practice
  • Significant experience working in work health & safety
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisational structure
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Acrobat
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Certificate qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Eligbility to work in New Zealand
